CRUISING Bookings can be made from Sunday July 12th, fleet cruising starts on Tuesday 14th July to Friday 17th July. Members depart Saturday 18th July and may sail during that day. We have exclusive use of the site to camp and sail for any or all of the days. Tides are favourable for day cruising.  Cruising on the principle of cruising-in-company will take place on each day Tuesday to Friday.  As there will be no support boat sailors should be competent and equipped to sail independently in marine conditions. We will start with a briefing at 10 am to be on the water by 11 am. Destinations may include Dell Quay, East Head, Thorney, Emsworth and Langstone. Or do your own pottering. The slipway has an electronic winch for recovery of boats.  For camping, tents or motorhomes, select a pitch in the field known as Wood Park North and South.

CRUISING Sailors returning to the rural tranquility and natural beauty of Cobnor Point will be well accustomed to the arrangements for camping and cruising.  We are delighted to be welcomed back to the Cobnor Estate. Hot showers and hired loos will be provided.  Bookings can be made from Sunday July 13th, fleet cruising starts on Tuesday 15th July to Friday 18th July with the option of a “Sunset” race with Bosham SC on the evening of Friday 18th July. Cobnor Cruising and Coaching

CRUISING Sailors returning to the rural tranquility and natural beauty of Cobnor Point will be well accustomed to the arrangements for camping and cruising.  After a year’s absence, we are delighted to be welcomed back to the Cobnor Estate by the new manager Holly Baker and owner Diana Beale. Hot showers will now be provided. We have the full week from Sunday September 1st to Sunday September 8th with exclusive use of the site to camp and sail for any or all of the days. Tides are favourable for day cruising.  Cruising will take place each day, Monday to Saturday, on the principle of cruising-in-company (with free sailing on either Sunday), subject to the weather and preference. WandererFest 2023

Report by John Renouf assisted by Lindsay and Neil Weatherley At the new location this year of Mengeham Rythe SC, Hayling Island, everyone taking part was given the option of sailing with a supported fleet (supported by a RIB) or unsupported fleet, relying on the principle of cruising in company. Most of this article by John Renouf, from his vantage at the helm of the support boat, reports on the larger, supported fleet and the event as a whole. We asked Lindsey and Neil Weatherley to complete the picture by writing about the experience of the unsupported fleet, which Lindsey led.
