Bookings for WandererFest are on hold.
Owing to the exceptional high tide, low pressure and storm force wind experienced over the night of 8th – 9th April the sea came over the seawall at Mengeham Rythe SC, flooding the club house and campus to a depth of 8 feet. Property, equipment, boats and facilities have suffered extensive damage submerged by the sea water lake. Although the clean-up has started, and there is every expectation that conditions may be restored in good time, we have put bookings on hold for WandererFest. Our thoughts are very much with Melvyn Powell and MRSC volunteer members, some of whom have also suffered flood damage to their homes, as they set about the task. We shall keep WCOA members updated on progress.
