<p>Thank you very much for reply. That is very helpful indeed, so the mast foot sits inbetween the linch pin and the bolt. If the metal pin is removed that was used to raise the mast then the mast drops slightly and sits in the mast step – so this is the mast satisfactorily held in place? Is it literally the shroud wires to port and starboard and forestay on the bow that put tension on the mast to hold it in position? Or is the mast held in place with additional support? I have looked everywhere for this information and can not find it. There is loads of info on Hartley/wayfarers/other dinghy brands but not the Anglo marine wanderer. </p>
