After posting (and giving the matter more thought) it occurred to me that it is (I think) possible to have the rig dimensionally the same, but with different tensions. It is this fact, that I hadn’t really considered – that both the dimension of the rig, and the tension within the rig, need to be correct. I had assumed one followed the other.<br />
<br />
Anyways, back in the real world, my boat has now been set up correctly (albeit without a tension gauge, I just went for F# on the shrouds) and it sails much, much better than it used to.</p>
