RULES 1.1. The regatta will be governed by current rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2021 to 2024. 1.2. RYA prescriptions to the Racing Rules of Sailing as well as Cotswold Sailing Club rules and byelaws will apply. 1.3. The Sailing Instructions will apply. 1.4. RRS 40.1 applies at all times when competitors are afloat. 2. ADVERTISING 2.1 Boats are permitted to display advertising under ISAF Regulation 20 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1. Whitstable Race Results 2021
A day forecast for a gentle breeze gave us more than three hours of 10-15 knots higher than expected, wind against tide. By the time of the first race at 2 pm the morning’s gentle breeze had freshened to a north-easterly F4 gusting F5. It stayed that way for much of the afternoon. Races were a blast around the buoys, pretty well on the brink of sailing, though helped by surfing the rollers downwind and by the flow of the outgoing tide for the beats. Making a Nav Cab
Andy Powell shows us how: One thing that appealed to me about the Wanderer, was its adaptability. My previous boat, a Laser 2000, was excellent in many ways, but offered little scope for modification. In short, I wanted a boat I could drill holes in. My 1993 Anglo Marine Wanderer W1138 (named Medusa by her first owner) has proven an ideal test bed for several projects, and one of the first has been to make a cabinet to store equipment for cruising. As a former cadet-officer and an instructor, I have acquired quite a bit of kit that I like to take out on cruises. I want things to hand in the boat, but not under my feet. I also wanted to be able to store all these things tidily on a shelf in my garage when not in use, and to be readily transportable to and from the

Sailing at 660ft above Sea Level
By Peter Melling No! I haven’t been at the malt’s just yet, but this is the height above sea level where I sail Dion W1716 a Hartley Wanderer. If you have driven the M6 through the Lake District, particularly on the southbound carriageway, you will have passed the Killington Services just after J37. Next time I recommend you call in for a coffee walk through to the rear of the building and take a look at Killington reservoir in all it’s splendour.
