Wanderer Scotland

Saturday 18th – Monday 20th May 2024

INFORMATION

  • The first ever event of the Wanderer Class Owners’ Association to be held in Scotland will be at Tighnabruaich on the Kyles of Bute: sheltered coastal waters and stunning scenery.
  • Based at Tighnabruaich Sailing School, Carry Farm, 3 miles south of the village. On site camping overlooking the shore, space for motorhomes and three lodges available to hire + other nearby accommodation options.
  • Boats can be left on site before and after the weekend, if combining the event with a longer holiday in Scotland. Apart from sailing, enjoy walking, historic houses, local crafts, an indoor swimming pool and breath-taking views.
  • A three day event: arrive Friday 17 th May; cruises with safety boat escort on Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th and Monday 20th. Possible passages include north to Tighnabruaich itself and the secret anchorage at Caladh, across the Kyle to Ettrick Bay on the Isle of Bute, and round the other side of the peninsula to beaches accessible only by boat.
  • In the evening we plan to go in a different pub or restaurant each evening to eat and socialise.
  • We will also set up a Wanderer Scotland Whatsapp group which can be very useful for participants to contact each other prior to, during and after the dates of the event..
