| New Builder for the Wanderer Appointed by Ian Proctor Designs Ltd |
Several owners have requested clarification on issues which have arisen with the news that Porter Bros (Marine & Industrial) Ltd is now the licensed builder of the Wanderer. The company also builds the Wayfarer, Gull and Spectrum dinghies which were all designed by Ian Proctor. Porter Bros (Marine &

was appointed by the Directors of Ian Proctor Designs Ltd as the
exclusive builders, since Nevill Towler, the owner of Anglo Marine
Services Essex Ltd, decided to retire from active boat manufacture.
Anglo Marine Services Essex Ltd will
continue to honour their warranty undertakings and all questions or
queries with regard to these matters should be addressed to Mr Nevill

The next WCOA Committee meeting will be held on the 16th November 2002 and the Committee is very much looking forward to meeting the Directors of Porter Bros who have been invited to attend. The first Wanderer to be built by Porter Bros will be exhibited at the Southampton Boat Show should owners or prospective buyers wish to visit the Porter stand."
