IS THE NEW BUILDER OF THE WAYFARER, WANDERER AND GULL Hartley Laminates has reached agreement with Porter Bros Ltd and the Designer‘s, Ian Proctor Designs Ltd to take over the Licences and building of the three classic Proctor dinghies - the Wayfarer, Wanderer and Gull. This announcement means that Richard and Mark Hartley will now control and market an extensive range of racing and cruising GRP dinghies, by selling these alongside the Osprey and Kestrel. Richard Hartley said, “We are delighted to have reached agreement with both parties and we look forward to ensuring that the build quality and versatility of these boats are maintained, whilst seeking to give our customers even better value for money. Porter Bros will continue to provide us with some support, ensuring that the transition of the dinghies manufacture is seamless for our customers and that spares are readily available at all times.” Roger Proctor commented, “It was a significant decision on the part of our family to transfer the Licences of these timeless designs around which my father built his reputation.
