South West Cruise

16th & 17th September 2006

 

FROM ROCK ON THE CAMEL ESTUARY, CORNWALL

 

Come and Join the fun on this beautiful sandy estuary.

 

Convene at 10.30am, Saturday, on the beach below Rock Quarry car park for briefing.

 

(Drive through Rock along the coast, past The Rock Inn and The Beach House on your right. Quarry Car Park is found at the end of this road.)

 

We shall sail up the Estuary to Wadebridge on the flooding tide

Enjoy lunch on the riverbank

Sail back to Padstow, a lovely Cornish harbour made even more popular by

 Rik Stein and his restaurants

Take cream tea overlooking the Estuary, where you will also be challenged to a game of Crazy Golf!

Sail aback to Rock for a swim and relaxing chat on the beach.

Reconvene at the Maltsers Arms for a memorable Dinner

 

Sunday 17th - Rendevous again at 10.30am

 

Sail the Estuary to seaward enjoying the wonderful coastline. Land for lunch & coffee on a secluded beach.

 

Back to  Rock for the homeward journey

 

Adverse conditions - no problem

Pick up bikes at Wadebridge - tricycles are available for those who would prefer.

 

Cycle the Camel Trail which is the old railway line between Bodmin and Padstow

 

Walk the magnificent cliffs / visit the National Trust village of Port Isaac or

body surf at Polzeath!!
