For those coming to this cruising event we will meet at Baiter slip, which a little to the east of the town centre. There is good parking in an area reserved for those with boats (including jet skis!) and a gentle slip which is usable at all states of the tide. There is a daily charge of £7.50 for launching and for parking the car and trailer, so bring enough coins as notes are not accepted by the pay and display machines! There is room for trolleys by the top of the slip or ideally back on the trailers.

Arrivals can be at any time but the intention will be to have the boats rigged in time for a 10.15 am briefing and launching by 10.30. We can sail up or down the harbour as we like before lunch, depending on the wind. There are toilets and a restaurant near the harbour entrance but no pub so bring your own food and drink. We may be able to sail around the southern side of Brownsea Island (National Trust and the home of scouting) as we have done in previous years but the wind will largely dictate our course. We will land for a stop at one or more locations before returning to Baiter for 4.30 pm approximately.
