Cruise Update as June 30th

Just 5 days to go before the inaugural WCOA Dale, Pembrokeshire, cruise. Interest has been shown from WCOA members as far from West Wales as Sussex but as yet we are not sure, except for 2 local Wanderers, how many we shall be on the day. If you are thinking of coming then please note the following:

• There will NOT be a safety boat in attendance on the cruise but of course we will be sailing within the capabilities of cruise participants.

• Normal WCOA/Organiser disclaimer apply eg all take part at own risk, insurance must be in place, experience of helm/crew suitable for conditions, etc.

• Landings on the cruise will be at rural locations (Watwick Bay, Sandy Haven, only the most ‘rustic’ of facilities will be available, and packed lunches will be required.

• We will gather at 10:00am on Saturday at Dale Yacht Club for introductions and briefing. Our intention is to be on the water by 11:00am and back by 4:00pm latest.

• Dinner on Saturday will be at 7:15pm at the Dale Yacht Club (very informal) and we have made a reservation but need to confirm numbers by Friday evening so please do let us know in advance if you are attending the cruise and whether you will want supper on Saturday.

• We will be in Dale on Friday evening until around 9pm, if you would like to meet up please call us and let us know. There is a pub, the ‘Griffin Inn’, that serves bar meals in addition to Dale Yacht Club for those wanting supper.
